I don't generally like talking about politics on the Internet, because I have some very Conservative friends and some very Liberal friends and I love them all.
I'd like to believe in a world where - whoever our next president is - we can all acknowledge positive accomplishments and demand accountability for failures together. I'd like to believe we can move beyond fighting about topics and move toward discussing them. I'd like to believe both sides can stop screaming about how stupid the other side is.
People are very angry. People have reason to be. The trouble is, that emotion is exactly what's blinding us. The TV would have us believe that Tuesday is a football match, but it's not. No one wins or loses. It's not a game. It's a job interview. It's a chance for us to decide who we're going to hire. That's all.
Stay calm. Vote rationally. We'll still be Americans on Wednesday.
