Okay, I'm feeling better. Here's what I suggest to everyone, whether you hate Democrats, Republicans, or all politics, go grab yourself a copy of Wag the Dog. Watch it, then show it to friends who haven't seen it.
Okay, I'm pissed off again. I stopped by Amazon.com to get a link for Wag the Dog, and know what I see first line?
"With Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ stirring talk like no movie in many years, the spotlight has been focused on religion in film. "
Talk like no movie in many years? LORD OF THE MOTHER FUCKING RINGS?! Hello?! EVERYONE knows about that movie, everyone loves it, it brought intellectual literates, roll playing uber-geeks, and the mass media of cinema together as one! It brought people together better than this christ shit ever will! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not religious but I'm a big fan of what J.C. did historically, but I don't approve of fanaticism in any form! That's the shit that gets masses slaughtered or flies airplanes into skyscrapers. I respect faith, but I abhor fanaticism. You want a good religious film? Go see Kevin Smith's "Dogma."
